Privacy

Knitter Friend converts pictures in your own browser. This page explains what that means for your data.

Your pictures

Images and PDFs you open are processed on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone.

Saved work

Your current chart is saved in your browser’s storage (IndexedDB) so it is still there when you come back. It stays on this device and browser. You can remove it by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Your appearance preference stays in browser storage. If you choose a language, your browser sends it to this site in a preference cookie so we can serve pages in that language. The cookie contains only the language code and expires a year after you choose a language. Choosing Browser language in Settings deletes it.

Hosting

Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and reliability. We also count visits with an analytics service that sets no cookies.
